Wow, so yes, obviously I am NOT doing well at keeping our blog updated. I did change the background again lol.
Cole & Olivia have started school again--and this year Tanner is going to preschool!! He has LOVED it so far, and his teacher is absolutely amazing--she's in our ward. He loves that he's got friends in there already from Primary (even if they are all girls, he's ok with that). Tanner is still my tender-hearted little guy--and Parker has realized that and loves to tease his older brother until he cries (which doesn't take much). It's pretty hard to get mad at Parker, though--when he's in trouble he scrunches his face up and gives this HUMONGOUS cheesy smile at you like he's so innocent, even though you KNOW he's not, lol. He's getting to be quite independent and talks a LOT.
Tanner, as I said, started preschool a few weeks ago and loves all of it. I think he's been getting a bit bored at home, and I just KNEW he needed to go to preschool this year before he goes into kindergarten next year. He loves his teacher and all the cool stuff he's learning. He remembers everything they've learned that day when he comes home and he tells me all about it.
Olivia is in 2nd grade this year. She didn't get the teacher I requested (long story), but the teacher she did get seems really great (and has gotten great reviews from other parents I've talked to). I am going in today while Tanner is at preschool to go help out for an hour in her classroom. Olivia is very excited about all the science stuff that her teacher does and has already made new friends in her class since she doesn't know very many people in there this year!!
Cole started 4th grade this year. He's getting to be so independent, and really getting into watching sports with his dad, talking about hunting and shooting, etc. For his birthday he got a gun (don't ask me any details on it, I have no idea). He is way excited to start practicing so next year he can go small game hunting with Jeremy. He loves playing outside with friends, riding his bike, and playing soccer at school with his friends at lunch. He just moved up in Cub Scouts, and loves going to that every week.
I got a new calling a few months ago. Back in November, I was put in as the Personal Progress Advisor in Young Women's. Then in June we got a new bishopric--and the 1st and 2nd counselor in the YW presidency got taken out two months ago because their husbands got put in the new bishopric. So that left some vacancies in the YW presidency. The YW president re-did the rest of the presidency and I was put in as the 1st counselor, which means I am now over the Mia Maid class. The PP calling was much easier; this calling is a bit intimidating for me being more of a "leader" this time. I am very excited but still a little nervous even after a few months of being in there. It's been very fun and I am excited for the upcoming years that I will be in there. My friend Amanda is also in the presidency as the secretary, so that's fun. What's also fun is not only is she pregnant (due April 24th), but we are expecting a baby March 3rd!!!! so now half of our YW presidency is pregnant lol. So that just adds that much more fun into the whole deal!
We are all SOOOOOO excited for a new baby in our family! All of us (yes, the boys included!!) are all REALLY hoping for a girl this time. I've felt SOOOOO different this time than I did with Tanner or Parker. Parker I was sick for the first 5 months and threw up constantly. This time I've been slightly nauseated, but hardly at all, and as long as I continually have something small in my stomach, I feel pretty good (besides feeling tired). Which is always a blessing, considering that I have four kiddos and a husband to take care of!!
Jeremy has been busy the past few weeks since hunting season started. He's gone a lot of course, so I am glad I have not only my kids, but also friends who live up & down the street who's husbands also hunt, and we can do fun stuff (craft days!) together and not get too bored--or mad at our hubby's for being gone all the time lol.
Well, that's about all for now. I really will try to post more often lol. We'll see how that goes.
